GI JOE in 1983, released even more memorable figures. Hasbro advanced from the first "straight arm" series, and changed the arm joints so they could swivel, dubbed "swivel arms". This added another rotating point of articulation just above the elbow. Cobra Commander is available in his hood mask. Destro, the arms dealer to Cobra, is introduced. Ex-Model Cover Girl and the Wolverine Tank add to G.I. Joe's motor pool, while Ace and the Sky-strikers are on the tarmac ready to take on Cobra and their H.I.S.S. Tank and F.A.N.G. helicopter. In the field, with G.I. Joe you can find Doc saving troops and Tripwire finding Cobra mines. In 1983, the Joes and Cobras really started to fill out their ranks with different specialized troops, like SnowJob.
